It is the smallest elementary school in the San Fernando Valley, with a total population of approximately 320 students. The school population has fluctuated over the years from a high of over 1,000 to a low of 250.
Calabash claims a diverse student population, with a total of 11 different first languages spoken in the home including Farsi, Spanish, Italian, Filipino and more. Calabash has an ethnically diverse population with approximately 3% Asian, 8% Black/Non Hispanic, 10% Hispanic and 75% Caucasian. Calabash enjoys an extremely stable faculty and staff.
